Smart Hands & iMACD

The objective of this module is to provide learners with the knowledge and practical awareness required to deliver SmartHands services effectively across Install, Move, Add, Change, and Decommission (IMACD) activities in both live and build data centre environments. 

By completing this module, participants will gain a clear understanding of how SmartHands engineers support critical client operations, ensuring uptime, compliance, and professional delivery in high-security and technically complex settings. 

The training emphasises the dual importance of technical competence and professional behaviour, equipping learners to follow structured processes for hardware installation, cable management, system migrations, and controlled decommissions. 

It highlights how every IMACD activity must be completed safely, with full alignment to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards, and in accordance with client-specific requirements. 

Learners will also develop their ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, document work accurately, and escalate risks appropriately, which are essential components of trust and reliability in the data centre industry. 

On completion, learners will be prepared to contribute as competent SmartHands professionals, delivering precise, safe, and client-focused outcomes that integrate seamlessly into broader project and operational lifecycles.
